Phone A Friend

 

When asked what I do to deal with adversity in an interview once; I immediately thought about a good friend of mine. My answer to the questions was then— I phone a friend. 

I phone a friend because I know I have one to call 

I phone a friend because dem women; they smart 

I phone a friend because whichever once I call says exactly what I need them to say

I phone a friend because when I feel down, I know they’ll hold me up

I phone a friend because when it feels as though I have nobody — they pick up.
